approached by the product design company Unknown, Untitled to create a series of product visualization films for an innovative, yet unrealized program developed for Rimowa, the iconic luggage brand under the LVMH umbrella. Tasked with envisioning the future of travel, Unknown, Untitled designed three groundbreaking suitcase concepts, each reimagining the brand's existing ranges. The goal of this project is to bring these visionary designs to life through a cinematic and elegant film, showcasing the beauty and functionality of each suitcase in a simple, yet striking manner.For this project, I developed a three-part narrative for each suitcase, designed to highlight both the emotional and functional aspects of the product. The journey begins with mood-driven elements that evoke the feeling of travel, setting the tone for each case. Next, I focus on the craftsmanship and key construction features that make each suitcase unique. Finally, the story culminates in a captivating visualization that showcases the beauty of the design, emphasizing its functionality and innovative features. I work best when collaborating, and with Maxime from Unknown, Untitled providing such a solid brief, I had a clear direction from the start. I partnered with Christian from Bareis+Nicolaus, who helped with the type design and animation, adding a lot to the project. Sometimes an ordinary project becomes a perfect resource for RND processes and fresh ideas.&nbsp; This particular project gave us an opportunity to play around with an interesting topic and combine different techniques with a challenging task. The main topic is transformation and recycling. As an example we took bald tires and dismantled them, created sculptures and dynamic compositions, we focused on playful aesthetics while changing the scale of the key object and applying primary materials. The parts we were focusing on were carbon, steel, oil and gas. DESCRIPTION → ● 2022 ○ creative direction | design | animation → This is a collaboration and passion project. Back in the days we (Alex and I) both studied at the same university. Despite the fact that we work in the same industry and even for same studios we never had the chance to realize a project together. Until now.The interesting and probably unusual part of this project is how we worked as a team to create six unique sculptures. The basic idea was simple: Create hanging mechanical sculptures. We created different elements and joined them together piece by piece. We asked ourselves how can we connect 3D elements so it doesn't feel alien. At the beginning each of us did a quick 10 minute&nbsp;sketch and gave the draft to the other. By turn, the other added details, then animation, cloth simulation, color, typography and so on. We had to react to each others creations and connect the pieces like a puzzle that grow with every step. Another major part of this collaboration is the work of our friend and colleague Konstantin (aka cadeu) who is responsible for the sound. The full experience of this project is only enjoyable with the sound - ON! The perfect mix of sound design and sonification (representation of certain physical characteristics of an object through sound) makes the sculptures real and alive. https://vitalygrossmann.com/HUBLOT HUBLOT DESCRIPTION → ● 2021 ○ creative direction | design | animation → Collaborating closely with Hublot,&nbsp; I was tasked by Tendril with creating a launch film and visual assets for the Big Bang Integral Tourbillon Full Sapphire limited series watch. It is a visual celebration of the highly technical 10-year development process behind the timepiece, which has a case and bracelet made entirely from sapphire. The team at Hublot are true masters of material chemistry, engineering and aesthetics. With this film our goal was to capture the story of how these wearable works of art come into being. This is my personal “DC” version.&nbsp; We begin with particles of Aluminum oxide that transition into molten flows of translucent liquid. The metal cools and solidifies into synthetic Sapphire crystal, which is then painstakingly shaped into hundreds of precise parts. Suspended within this impenetrable crystalline shell, we see the skeletal beating heart of the tourbillon. approached Vincent Schwenk and me to create a short film for their latest material build update - Type 02 in Matte Black. We used a very minimal design approach so the focus is the furniture. We focused on only one main highlight color/brand color and some signal tones as an accentuation that shows different parts of the film like product visualization, fitting, close up/details and construction. This way the balance feels just right with the black and white contrast. Some of the little highlight colors, make the frame pop a little bit. Also the organic, off framed objects break up the strong lines of the furniture and the whole setting. Actually this in one of the very first designs and we kept it in the final film — doesn’t happen that often. the Fluent Design System. It’s one of the major topics at the Microsoft Build 2020 conference. Fluent UI is kind of a collection of UX frameworks for creating web and mobile apps that share code, design, and interaction behaviour. It’s a new approach to how Microsoft works across disciplines and product teams to deliver more seamless experiences that feel natural on all devices. You can say it’s a new cross-platform library or just simply put, Fluent is about designers and developers working better together to create best-in-class experiences that empower their customers. 20:45:11 +0000 Vitaly Grossmann https://vitalygrossmann.com/UGG UGG DESCRIPTION → ● 2022 ○ creative direction | design | animation → Colorful blobs, soft shoes, bright, light and fun atmosphere - yeah, count us in for this kind of brief! This is the result of our ( Vincent Schwenk and I) collaboration with creative team at UGG for the SS22 campaign. Beside doing all digital explorations and animation, I was able to try “all”&nbsp; the shoes while working on this gig. I spare you with this images though.The beautiful part of this teamwork was the trust the UGG team put into our working pipeline and production management.&nbsp; In the first stage we had a quick RND turnaround where we shared and discussed all concepts and ideas no matter of the quality of render. Then. we decided what is worth improving and what didn't stick at all. Afterwards we moved into full production mode and produced animation and in the same time did the 3D model of the shoe.
